Anyways, you're absolutely correct - as far as your life at this point, it should pretty much be school > work > original content > life > Zelda UO. A fan production will get you nowhere near as far as original work will. If it gets you anywhere beyond a superficial recognition of your animation skills.

You do what you need to do. Personaly me, the Zelda UO did make me become your fan, but I'm kinda sick of fan made zelda stuff. The characters, plot, and originality of your new stuff will keep me as your fan.

Meh, I followed Zelda UO cause it was a bit different from most other LOZ spinoffs and if your real work is all about that it's ok with me, I'm happy to follow the animator rather than just the animation. Btw the picture of that guy looks a bit like Kenshin, which is awesome :D

Well, you gotta do what you gotta do, i personally am a HUGE legend of zelda fan, but ,if this is the end of zelda: UO for right now then so be it, but i'd just like to say that the way you merged the stories, it was..almost completely perfect, some parts were iffy, but im glad you gave dark link a shot at it, and happy you found a way to explain the triumph/ item music (diggs record player) , anyway i will really miss zelda: UO. i dont blame you for having a future scoot. Sad....but I understand why ur doing this. But when you say "I'm going to put it on hold" You have nothing to worry about. Some of the best flashes come out once every 2 years. Look at killing spree and Joe Zombie they haven't come out with new material in years and they're fan are still on edge. Your fans will understand (mostly) what your going though. So Keep doing what you do.

Hmmm...

I wouldn't even bother impying a guarantee that you will come back to UO in a few years. It is subtly obvious (oxymoron, much?) that the series isn't working out as well for you as it could, seeing as it keeps getting cancellations and all that. You could just let it go completely if it's being a drag; as you said, there are far more important things that must be attended to. Also, you have no idea what will happen after college. You may get caught up in something far more significant that animating for kicks.

'Don't let illusionary obligations hold you back' is basically what i'm trying to say.

Anyway, I'm glad that you are focusing on your own original work. It should develop a 'real fanbase', if you know what I mean. (Not like the usual video game whore crowd, although i'm sure you appreciate them a fair bit, though not enough to become their bitch, which is a very good thing)

Sorry to tell you all who are hating him for choosing more important things than your damn obsessions. But get a f*cking life. What he says he gave up the series for is a lot more important than ANY damn movie series, even Egoraptor's Awesome series. No flash movie is more important than what YOU really want, not what your fans want. If you're pissed off he stopped the series, stop bitching and get a life or make your own god damn series.

I understand, school comes first. It's kind of a big blow though that newgrounds' most followed series is gonna be put on a long hold. Although, not to contradict what you have said, but I think that you will have at least most of Zelda UO Episode 9 finished by around July/August of next year. That's 8 months, and I'm sure you will find a reasonable gap of free time in that period, assuming you still want to work on Zelda UO, of course. I'm in my 3rd year of college, so I know it's tough, but once you are in between semesters, you have ALOT more free time. Again, it's fine; I can wait a few more months. I'm not expecting the series to be entirely complete for, at the very least, 5 years. Good luck with the schoolwork.

zortian is the good guy (whoever said dark is bad is a well judgemeantal zortian has black hair and black outlining of the pupil and a blue fire pupil his hair is long but not under his chest
and for acro hes the bad guywho cares for noone hes has almost the same characteristics as zortian except for the hair his hair is outlining white with black and the wierd substance on his center of the head
the substance ??? all that is know is that its silver blob and pop out of the air thats all

It's been a pleasure watching Zelda UO. Quite frankly, it was one of the reasons I check Newgrounds so frequently. I suppose I'm just more shocked than anything else. I wish you the best on making a name for yourself beyond Zelda fandom; I'll still be checking back for your original work. Thank you for creating one of the greatest flash series ever made. I think I speak for most of us when I say this:

Your characters spoke to us, your story enchanted us, and the amount of originality you were able to put into a fan series blew us away. We're sorry to see it go. Just don't put it too far back in your mind. Remember, we're your fans. We will wait.

I think it sucks and don't agree, but I see your reasoning. I would love for you to just work on it in your spare time, but by the sound of you, you seem to have none. XD

One favor I would ask of you, can you please tell us fans what happens? I loved the animations and have waited for more than a year. The story you were telling was amazing, so could you just give us a little write up on what you were planning? It's cool if you are to busy for something like that, but it sucks cutting something you've worked on forever so suddenly.

I understand your decision about Zelda UO (it was the reason I started following you) but I am glad that you will one day return to it. Your schoolwork should be first in your priorities and that should take up more of your time than anything else and you must be true to yourself. P.S. Oh well, as a college student myself, I know that school itself takes up alot of time and can be fairly stressful at times. Although, I hate to see a series like Zelda UO die like this.....(technically I know its not dead...but I have been a fan of many artists, and have witnessed them putting their work on hiatus only to abandon it all together. It breaks my heart every time....)

For what its worth, Zelda UO was basically the only thing keeping me coming back to Newgrounds every other day. I consider it probably the best Zelda tribute ever. Good Luck with everything, Scoot!

I feel like the zelda series just died. your flashes are the only thing that keeps the zelda alive between the games is this. and if nintendo messes zelda up any more it is going to be the end of zelda forever. this is the last zelda resort. if this dies then chances are zelda will die. the zelda wii, the next game on the wii has a chance a good chance of being in first person. i have a feeling zelda will die you have keep it going. this is not cool. please continue. can you finish the next episode first. and when you say years how many 2,3, 4 ,8. no i can't stand it zelda will not die if i have something to say about it. in fact i came up with a secret plan for zelda. it won't be out for several months but it will continue the series. don't ever give up on zelda uo. and if you can't finish it is it possible for you to let me take your spot for it untill you return. if its all right with you but if you can can you send the pictures or frames of them. i have a feeling of what would come next. but please just keep it alive but if you can't i can take the position if you let me please. this is what i have to say and it is all i will say. but take your time thinking it over about letting me take over.
